After opening its first Texas location at Preston Center in November, Maman isn’t slowing down.
The demand, which was seen on opening day with lines out the door at the Plaza in Preston Center, led to the aggressive push in the Dallas market. The chain known for its freshly baked French pastries and nutty chocolate chip cookies will next head to Lakewood, East Dallas and the Design District.
Marshall exclusively told Dallas Business Journal that Maman’s next location will open at Lakewood’s Hillside Village Shopping Center in the former Palmer’s Hot Chicken space. The hot chicken shop closed in January after serving hot chicken, catfish and shrimp for five years, with an appearance on Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in 2024.
Maman’s second location was initially planned to be in a former Schlotzsky’s Deli space in the Casa Linda Plaza in East Dallas. While Maman still plans to move into the space at 1152 N. Buckner Blvd., the Lakewood location will now open first.
