A golf tournament benefiting Special Olympics Texas is headed to the Lake Travis area March 9.

The details

In partnership with the Lakeway Police Officers’ Association and the Texas Law Enforcement Peer Network, the inaugural Golfing with a Cop event will feature a four-person scramble tournament on The Hills Country Club Signature Golf Course.

All proceeds from the event benefit Special Olympics Texas’ mission to provide training and competition opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The Winter Games were held for the fifth year in a row in the Bee Cave and Lakeway areas this February.

“Our local law enforcement, in partnership with our community, will come together for a day of golf full of competition, camaraderie, and friendship, and we invite you to join us,” the event website states.
