LYNN COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) – A Big Spring man will spend his life in prison after he was found guilty of murdering a 50-year-old woman.
A jury in the 106th District Court sentenced 25-year-old Frank Montemayor to 99 years in prison for the death of Claudia Davis back in August of 2023.
Prosecutor Phillip Furlow say Davis and Montemayor got into an argument about drugs while driving from Lubbock to Big Spring, leading Montemayor to shoot Davis and dump her body near Sixth Street.
Montemayor was arrested by Big Spring police on a charge of a felon in possession of a firearm and was later charged with murder.
