SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — You might be looking at a weekend of severe weather across much of South Central Texas.

The National Weather Service says isolated thunderstorms will start popping up Friday afternoon and could continue into the evening. Some storms could be strong to severe, depending on where you are.

The greatest threats are strong wind gusts of up to 60 mph in some areas, hail as large as an inch and even a possible tornado.

A similar setup is expected on Saturday with more severe weather building up in the afternoon and continuing into the evening hours.

Weather forecasters are encouraging you to stay weather-aware through at least late Saturday night. Strong thunderstorms could continue into Sunday, and possibly Monday.
