Four students were on the bus at the time of the crash. None of them were injured but one person in a separate vehicle was taken to a hospital.

DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas — An Austin ISD school bus was involved in a collision early Thursday morning in Dripping Springs. None of the students were injured, but one person from another vehicle involved in the crash was taken to a hospital. 

According to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), responders received a call shortly after 7 a.m. about a crash along west U.S. Hwy 290 and Fitzhugh Rd. 

The TCSO said a vehicle scraped the side of a school bus that was stopped at a light and that four students were on the bus at the time of the collision.

The crash prompted the closure of all eastbound lanes at Fitzhugh Road as of 7:40 a.m. Thursday, causing heavy rush-hour traffic. 

No additional details are available at this time.
