RED RIVER PARISH, La. — A 4.9 magnitude earthquake that happened in Louisiana was felt in some parts of East Texas.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake happened around 5:30 a.m. in Red River Parish, Louisiana. It was 5.0 km in depth.
Reports to the USGS shows that people throughout East Texas felt the impacts of the earthquake. People from Hughes Springs, Hallsville, Kilgore, Timpson, Garrison, Marshall, Waskom, Linden, Jefferson and Diboll all made reports to the agency.
