I-610 closes eastbound lanes on South Loop briefly after major crash

Lanes now reopened

Multiple eastbound lanes were closed on Interstate 610 on Houston’s South Loop after a major crash.

The closures happened at the intersection of Crestmont Street.

The left shoulder, right shoulder, right lane, and center lane were all closed. The closure was reported at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.

The circumstances of the crash remain unclear, but authorities reported that the lanes were reopened at around 4:20 p.m.
