A New Caney woman has been arrested and charged with murder in the June shooting death of her husband after a nine-month investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Breyanai Moore, 31, is being held at the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
Deputies responded to a home in the 23900 block of Northcrest Trail in New Caney around 9 a.m. June 15, where they found Lonnie Moore, 33, inside a white vehicle with the engine still running. Moore had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
While it appeared as if Moore shot himself, detectives and crime scene investigators uncovered information that contradicted that theory.
Following a nine-month investigation, Breyanai Moore was taken into custody Wednesday.
