BCSO: Shooting at Frost Bank Center leaves 1 hospitalized, 1 detained

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night after a San Antonio Spurs game at Frost Bank Center.

Sheriff Javier Salazar says the whole thing happened after a minor crash in parking lot 7, but it escalated from there.

The suspect is accused of crashing into another car, but then refusing to stop. Witnesses started documenting the license plate of the car involved, and at one point a man leaving the game in another car approached the suspect. This is when investigators say the suspect fired shots from inside his vehicle, hitting the victim at least twice. He was rushed to the hospital, but his current condition was not known early Friday morning.

The victim is 48 years old, but no identification has been released.

The suspect, 47 years old, was detained and is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
