In October 2025, The Dallas Morning News hosted a pop-up newsroom at The Hub in South Dallas.

For three days, reporters, visual journalists and editors worked out of the space owned by St. Philip’s School and Community Center and welcomed the community to visit.

Photo and video journalists set up a temporary studio for headshots and on-camera interviews.

In this space, a handful of South Dallas residents and community stakeholders talked about what they like about their community, what they wish others knew about South Dallas and their hopes for the future.
