LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The latest version of the KCBD News App is now available. Watch the video above for an overview of how to update the app, and some new features.
How to update
Depending on the settings of your specific phone or tablet, you may need to click to update.
If your device is set to automatically update apps, the app should already update, or you may see it in the next day or so.
If your phone or tablet is not set to automatically update apps, or if you aren’t sure, simply open your App Store. Search “KCBD”. Then click into the KCBD News Channel 11 app, when you see it listed full-screen, select “Update”. The update installs fairly quickly.
New features
Information will load more quickly on our new app. Plus, it’s one click to get right to the latest news.
You will also see the second main tab (at the bottom) is “Live”. Click this to see our livestreams. Since we stream throughout the day, we made it easier to quickly watch live.
The third tab lists recent alerts sent. If you miss an alert when it pops up on your phone, don’t worry. Click this tab to open the latest alerts.
You’ll still see a long list of the many sections and categories by clicking the menu at the top left of the phone.
