Rodeo Austin is a nonprofit organization that raises more than $3.7 million annually to fund scholarships and youth programs for Texas students. Organizers say the breakfast reflects the spirit of giving that drives the organization year-round.

The festivities continue this weekend with BBQ Austin, running March 6-7 at the Travis County Expo Center. The cook-off competition features pitmasters from across the state vying for top honors, along with a Junior Pitmaster Competition. Families can also enjoy a carnival featuring 60 rides and games, as well as a petting zoo.

Rodeo Austin itself opens March 13 and runs through March 28 at the Travis County Expo Center, offering ProRodeo competitions, a carnival, shopping and a variety of special attractions.
