Why are you running for Hays CISD board of trustees?
As a parent and community member, I’m running to support strong academic outcomes, responsible fiscal stewardship, and sustainable growth. I want thoughtful oversight that keeps students at the center of decisions and ensures resources are managed efficiently to benefit classrooms.
What is the biggest challenge facing the district, and how would you address it?
Rapid growth is the district’s greatest challenge. We must plan proactively to manage enrollment increases, facility needs, and staffing demands while maintaining academic quality. Through responsible budgeting, data-driven planning, and a focus on classroom impact, we can ensure growth strengthens our schools.
If elected, what goals would you aim to achieve?
If elected, I will focus on strong learning outcomes by upholding high academic standards, responsible budgeting, and clear accountability. I will work to ensure policy, curriculum decisions, and resource allocation remain centered on student achievement and that funding priorities consistently support classroom success.
What else do you want voters to know about you?
I am both a homeschool and public school parent, which gives me a broad perspective on education. I will approach this role with humility, a willingness to listen, and a commitment to thoughtful, student-centered governance that respects families, supports teachers, and strengthens our district.
