Police were called to an intersection of downtown Dallas near the federal courthouse Friday morning over reports of a “suspicious package,” officials confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

More than a dozen units were dispatched about 8:30 a.m. to the intersection of South Griffin and Wood streets, according to a police call log.

Corbin Rubinson, a Dallas police spokesman, said in an email that the department’s Explosive Ordnance Squad was called out to investigate a package.

“They were able to clear the package where the item was located and no threat was found,” he said.
