CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Flour Bluff Independent School District has completed upgrades to its baseball and softball fields funded by the district’s 2025 bond program.
In a press release on Friday, the district said improvements include new turf, dugouts, fencing, scoreboards, flagpoles, batting cages, and an extended softball backstop at the athletic complex on Waldron Road.
District leaders say the upgrades will reduce water use, lower long-term maintenance costs, and support student athletes for years to come.
The district will host a community presentation and walkthrough at the Flour Bluff ISD Athletic Complex, giving residents a chance to see the improvements before Flour Bluff baseball plays Alice, Texas and softball faces Kingsville, Texas in evening games.
The celebration will also include Youth Night, inviting local youth baseball and softball players to participate.
