Fort Worth’s newest color-coded bus has a Latino theme.

Route 1 — which runs from downtown to La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth — will be rebranded as Linea Rosa to tie in with nearby Hispanic neighborhoods on the south side off Hemphill Street.

The pink-hued bus line was announced Friday morning by Bob Jameson, president and CEO of Visit Fort Worth, during the organization’s 2026 annual meeting at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

“We’re really excited about connecting La Gran Plaza. It’s the second-busiest destination in all of Fort Worth,” Rich Andreski, president and CEO of Trinity Metro, said after the meeting.

La Gran Plaza Transfer Station, located outside the mall facing West Seminary Drive, offers riders transfers to four bus lines, including routes 25, 29, 33 and 72.

The rebranded line will debut in September, Trinity Metro officials said.

Since 2024, Trinity Metro has rebranded two other bus routes with signature colors — Orange Line runs from downtown to the Fort Worth Stockyards, and the free Blue Line, funded by Visit Fort Worth and Downtown Fort Worth Inc., travels through the city core.

Trinity Metro plans to make more routes simpler to use by color-coding its buses.

Other color-coded lines proposed by the transit agency include the Green Line for a western route to the Fort Worth Zoo, Andreski previously said.
