Greg Bonnett, 62, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away March 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Greg was known for his loyalty, kindness, and generous heart. Jovial by nature, he had a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping, and cheering on Texas Tech and the Dallas Cowboys.
Greg spent many years working as an auto mechanic, a trade he took great pride in.
He shared a 34-year marriage with the love of his life, his wife, Deanna Bonnett. He was a proud father to his daughter, Britney Snyder, and a devoted grandfather to Stratton, Field, and Griffin, who brought him immense joy.
Greg is survived by his wife, Deanna Bonnett; daughter Britney Snyder and husband Brandon Snyder; grandsons Stratton, Field, and Griffin; father David Bonnett; and siblings Jeanine Swindoll, David Bonnett, Kirk Bonnett, and Regan Bonnett. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Bonnett, and sister Jennifer Thomas.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 9, at 11 a.m. Both will be held at Resthaven.
