An Arlington lounge failed during the Feb. 8-21 round of health inspections due to dirty conditions. Several other food establishments passed but received low scores, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.
Arlington restaurants are scored on a 100-point system, with 100 being a perfect score. Restaurants and other places that serve food that score 75 or less require a follow-up inspection, and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor.
Temptations Lounge at 3701 S. Cooper St. scored 66 on Feb. 18 due to several critical health violations, including the overall cleanliness of the establishment, according to a City of Arlington spokesperson. The inspector found an accumulation of grease and food debris on equipment, insufficient water at the hand sink and several food items at an unsafe temperature. There was also a problem with a floor drain grate.
Temptations is scheduled for a follow-up inspection, according to the spokesperson. Four other eateries scored below 75. They all passed, but also require follow-up inspections.
El Toro Sinaloense at 1520 Nolan Ryan Freeway scored 71 on Feb. 20.BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse at 201 E. Interstate 20 Highway scored 73 on Feb. 12.El Mofongo at 3701 S. Cooper St. scored 73 on Feb. 19.Lau De 68 at 2232 S. Collins St. scored 73 on Feb. 18.
