Down three runs entering the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pacific baseball team stormed back to defeat East Texas Baptist 8-7 Friday night.

The Boxers only had one hit in the bottom of the ninth, an RBI single by Will Shelor that scored Max Finkelstein to get Pacific within 7-5. Nathaniel Chapman, who was hit by a pitch, then scored on a passed ball to get the Boxers within 7-6.

With one out, Trevor Kazahaya drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game at 7-7. Hunter Nishina, who also reached by walk earlier in the inning, then scored the game-winning run on a passed ball and Pacific celebrated the walk-off victory.

Both teams scored four runs in the ninth as Pacific went into the inning holding on to a 4-3 lead after Alex Laureano knocked in Kazahaya and Benjamin Lewis on a RBI single to shallow left field in the bottom of the eighth.

Shelor was 3-for-5 with a run and RBI to lead the Boxers at the plate.

With the non-conference win, Pacific improved to 5-8 overall.
