Travis Agee’s 122 rushing yards weren’t enough to uplift Plano East in its 17-15 defeat to rival Plano on Thursday night at Tom Kimbrough Stadium.

Once down 17-0, Plano East (1-7, 1-5 District 6-6A) switched up its offensive approach and roared back to make it 17-15 early in the fourth quarter following a touchdown run by Gabe Berliner. But the comeback effort still fell short, and the Panthers were left with another loss.

Plano’s (5-3, 4-3) Chance Culley was the star of the game as he rushed for 213 yards on the night. It was his 88-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter that proved to be the game-winner.

Plano East will have two more opportunities—against McKinney and Allen—to add some more wins to its resume this season. The Panthers kickoff at McKinney on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.
