DE KALB, Texas (KSLA) – A woman is dead after a car wreck in Bowie County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says on March 6 around 8 p.m., troopers responded to a wreck involving multiple cars on Highway 82 west of De Kalb.
Preliminary info shows a white 2000 Toyota Corolla was headed west on Highway 82, when for an unknown reason, the driver veered out of their lane and headed into oncoming traffic, hitting multiple other cars.
The driver was identified as Connie Stevens, 70, of Avery, Texas. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials say two other drivers involved were injured. A child passenger in one of the other cars was also hurt. They were all taken to a hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
