Plano is 8-2 against McKinney Boyd since April of 2016 and they’ll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Broncos at 7:15 p.m. Plano is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they’ve averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Plano hadn’t beaten Prosper on the road since February 26, 2018 but that history sure didn’t bother them on Thursday. The Wildcats blew past the Eagles 12-6.

Plano got a massive performance out of Aubrey Zhang, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Darby DeJean was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Plano was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prosper only posted a batting average of .300.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, McKinney Boyd’s good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Rock Hill by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that’s the closest defeat the Broncos have suffered against the Blue Hawks since March 24, 2023.

Leah Teague stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Reagan Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

McKinney Boyd’s loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Plano, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7-1.

Tuesday’s matchup will be a test for both teams’ pitchers. Plano hasn’t had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it’s not like McKinney Boyd struggles in that department as they’ve averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Plano skirted past McKinney Boyd 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
