LAFC and FC Dallas are in the Western Conference, and both teams are undefeated after just two league matches. LAFC won their first two games of the season while FC Dallas won one match and drew another.

LAFC is on six points, scoring five goals and conceding no goals so far. FC Dallas is on four points, scoring three goals and conceding two after two games.
In their previous match, LAFC played away from home last weekend against the Houston Dynamo. LAFC won the match 2-0 with goals from Marco Delgado and Stephen Eustaquio.

FC Dallas hosted Nashville SC at Toyota Stadium last weekend, but the match finished in a 0-0 draw.
Last year, FC Dallas and LAFC played each other on August 23, 2025. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Son Hueng-Min scoring his first goal in the MLS through a free kick.
