A woman in her 30s is said to be the victim of a hit and run accident Saturday morning in the Leon Valley area.
Leon Valley police say they were called to an area near the corner of Grissom Road and Timberhill Drive, and there they found the body of the woman.
Emergency Medical Services arrived and tried to revive her, but the woman was pronounced dead.
Investigators say they had a description of the car that hit the woman and began a search, finding the car not far from the crash scene but as of late Saturday they’ve been unable to find the driver.
Police have been working to put together a description of the driver that can be disseminated to nearby authorities who could aid the search.
