Heavy rain moved through on Saturday and it caused problems on the road Sunday.

HOUSTON — Heavy rain blew through the Houston area Saturday night and caused problems on the roads into Sunday morning.

We noticed high water on the Houston TranStar camera along the North Freeway near Patton at around 7 a.m.  For a period of time, one car was stuck in it, and with the high water not going down, we also saw plenty of vehicles drive right through it, sending water flying in their wake.

According to Houston Transtar, the high water was affecting a center and right lane and the shoulder on the northbound side. The water receded as we were live streaming. You can see that in the video window above.

That wasn’t the only high water spot Sunday morning.  In the Memorial Villages area, crews cleared a fallen tree on Voss Road blocking southbound lanes. High water also stalled several cars, including on the I-45 entrance ramp from Saint Joseph and on 288 near Calumet, multiple vehicles were stranded in high water.
