Storms at the Rodeo:
“All we do is WIN, so we always say WIN anyway. We ain’t gonna worry—we’re gonna WIN anyway. So if it rains, it was meant to rain.”
And boy, did it rain in some spots yesterday—several areas picked up more than 2 inches!
**Estimated 24-Hour Rain Totals:**
– 2.30” Houston
– 2.19” Pasadena
– 1.75” Liberty
– 1.70” Tomball
– 0.66” Sugar Land
– 0.34” Pearland
– 0.06” Katy
As the severe weather moved overhead, you could hear “calmly move to the nearest building for safety” over the speakers, and the drone show was canceled. The NWS also reported isolated hail in the Piney Woods region.
Plus, we’re still tracking rain and thunderstorms this morning—don’t forget the time change!
We’re also watching a strong cold front moving in Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing even more rain and thunderstorms this week. That includes tomorrow: we’re tracking another good chance for rain and storms, especially as we head into the afternoon.
