Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect cool weather with chances of rain early in the week and severe weather near the middle of the week.
Allison Prater, National Weather Service meteorologist, said the metroplex will have quiet weather until Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, when severe weather may occur.
“That’s going to be our next shot for strong to severe storms capable of really any [and] all hazards,” Prater said. “It could be a large hail, damaging winds and potentially a couple of tornadoes.”
She said weather systems like this are normal for this time of year, as spring continues to transition in this month.
“We’re pretty early in the spring season, but it is typical,” Prater said. “We’re starting to get warmer, so we’re starting to get some more progressive systems moving through.”
