PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — No. 11 Texas Tech made the biggest move in the 16-team field Sunday, firing a second-round-best 13-under-par 275 to climb from a tie for ninth into fourth place after the second round of The Hayt at Sawgrass Country Club.

The Red Raiders sit at 14-under 562 heading into Monday’s final round. No. 21 Charlotte leads the tournament at 18-under 558, while No. 6 LSU and No. 2 Auburn are tied for second at 15-under.

Texas Tech’s surge was fueled by three subpar rounds from Adam Bresnu (6-under 66), Tim Wiedemeyer (4-under 68) and Connor Graham (3-under 69), with all three Red Raiders entering the final round inside the top 20 individually.

Graham is tied for the individual lead at 7-under 137 after posting his second consecutive under-par round. He shares the top spot with Virginia’s Ben James and Charlotte’s Seb Cave in the 90-player field at The Hayt.

Bresnu bounced back from an opening-round 75 with a bogey-free 6-under 66. He jump-started his round with five birdies on the front nine to make the turn at 5-under 31, added another birdie at No. 11 and closed with seven consecutive pars.

Wiedemeyer and Graham each highlighted their rounds with eagles on the 544-yard, par-5 eighth hole. Wiedemeyer is tied for 14th at 4-under 140, while Bresnu sits tied for 19th at 3-under 141. Ben Gregg is even par through two rounds and tied for 41st, while Brady McHenry is tied for 61st at 3 over.

The third and final round of The Hayt tees off Monday morning, with the Red Raiders beginning play at 8:33 a.m. CDT.
