FORT WORTH – Tulane snapped No. 17 TCU’s six-game winning streak with an 8-4 come-from-behind victory in Game 1 of Sunday’s doubleheader. Rob Liddington and Sawyer Strosnider homered in the loss for TCU.
 
The Rundown
TCU built a 4-0 lead through five innings, only to see Tulane rally with eight unanswered over its final four at-bats. 
 
The Frogs took a 2-0 lead in the second. A walk and a base hit put two on with one out. Sawyer Strosnider’s sacrifice fly made it a 1-0 ballgame. Nolan Traeger followed with an RBI-single.
 
Solo home runs by Rob Liddington in the fourth and Strosnider in the fifth extended the lead to 4-0.
 
Tulane’s comeback started with a two-run double in the sixth. The Green Wave took the lead with a four-spot in the seventh. The first three batters in the frame reached and scored. The go-ahead run crossed the plate on a bases-loaded walk. A sacrifice fly made it a 6-4 ballgame. A two-out, two-run double in the ninth accounted for the final score.
 
Lance Davis was outstanding in a no-decision. He allowed two runs (one earned) on just three hits and struck out three over six innings. Walter Quinn (2-1) took the loss after surrendering four runs on three hits and a walk in 1/3 of an inning.
