SAPD: 1 dead, 1 injured after shooting on West Side

BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA, AUGUST 30: Police investigate after six gunshots were fired at a house on August 30, 2021, in Bloomington, Indiana.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is trying to figure out what led to a fatal shooting on the West Side.

It all happened Sunday evening around 6 p.m. in the 8600 block of Waters Edge Drive. Investigators say shots were fired after a disturbance broke out at an apartment complex, but it is unknown who pulled the trigger, or how many people were involved.

When officers arrived, a 22-year-old man was found with a gunshot to the head, and he died before reaching the hospital. Detectives say a 19-year-old man was found with a gunshot to the stomach, and at last report he was listed in stable condition.

According to SAPD, both victims lived in the apartment complex.

The task now is trying to determine if other people were involved in the shooting, or if the two victims shot each other.

No other injuries were reported.
