SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An investigation is underway after the driver of a Corvette was killed in a crash early Monday morning.
KENS 5 reports the car was headed south on I-37 near Carolina Street around 2 a.m. Investigators say the driver lost control of the car, went through a guardrail, and then down an embankment. The car ended up resting on the ramp connecting Carolina Street to the interstate.
EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene. A female passenger was treated for minor injuries.
It is possible foggy conditions and reduced visibility played a role in the crash, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
