The Dallas Cowboys are closing in on a trade for Green Bay edge rusher Rashan Gary, a person familiar with the move confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.
In exchange, Dallas will send a 2027 fourth-round draft pick to the Packers.
The trade will not become official until the new league year begins on Wednesday.
Gary, 28, was a 2019 first-round pick and the Packers’ longest-tenured player. He signed a four-year, $96 million contract during the 2023 season and has two seasons remaining on his deal.

He accumulated 46.5 sacks over seven seasons in Green Bay.

In Dallas, Gary would reunite with defensive tackle Kenny Clark, who was one of the key returns in the Micah Parsons trade, along the defensive line in Dallas.
New Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker also served as a quality control coach for the Packers when Gary was drafted to Green Bay.
