AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at a Target store on February 25, 2026.
The incident occurred at 9500 S IH 35, where the suspect entered the store and selected several men’s clothing items. As he attempted to exit, a loss prevention employee intervened, leading to an assault by the suspect, who then fled on foot to a dark gray pickup truck, according to a press release from the Austin Police Department.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” to 6’3” tall, in his mid-30s to early 40s, with a large build. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, light gray capri pants or joggers, white shoes, and a gray ball cap with a black and white shield logo.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the APD’s Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
