SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County District Attorney’s office is mourning the death of Jennifer Rodriguez, who was fatally shot on Sunday.
The Bexar County DA’s Office released a statement Monday, mourning the death of one of its employees, Jennifer Rodriguez, after the Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled she died from a gunshot wound and classified the manner of death as a homicide.
In the statement, the district attorney’s office said it is “deeply saddened to announce the passing of our valued employee, Jennifer Rodriguez.” The office described Rodriguez as “incredibly hard-working, kind, and always brought a wonderful attitude to the workplace,” adding that “her passion for her work was evident every day, and she truly enjoyed what she did.”
The office said Rodriguez “touched the lives of so many people here, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her,” and offered condolences to her “family, friends, and loved ones during this devastating time.”
The medical examiner identified Jennifer Rodriguez as 37 years old. The medical examiner listed the cause of death as a gunshot wound and the manner of death as homicide.
The district attorney’s office said it will not provide further comment “out of respect for her family.” Her death remains under investigation.
