Students with different abilities took center stage at El Paso High School during Tiger Palooza, an event designed to give them a chance to experience a day of school spirit, sports and activities alongside student leaders.
“A lot of these kids aren’t able to be on basketball teams and volleyball teams. So we’re giving them a day where they get to be a high schooler,” said Serna, the student activities manager at El Paso High School.
Serna said the event is now in its eighth year. “Here we are at year eight with 150 kids that joined us today and 250 leaders,” Serna said.
Along with sports, students also took part in STEM activities and games hosted by different school clubs.
