Surveillance footage from one incident shows a group approaching a residence with two individuals holding guns and pointing them toward the home while others burglarized or stole vehicles in the driveway.
Detectives believe the armed individuals were providing cover for the burglaries, suggesting a “willingness to resort to violence if confronted,” APD said.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects, has information about the incidents or believes they may have been victimized is asked to contact the APD Auto Theft Unit at 512-974-5265 or ATIP@austintexas.gov.
Police are urging the public not to approach or confront the suspects. Anyone who observes the individuals or witnesses criminal activity in progress should call 911 immediately.
