EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Downtown El Paso is set to turn into an outdoor playground — and get a little messy — as La Nube STEAM Discovery Center hosts its Spring Bash Block Party on Main Street.
The event will happen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
La Nube said the free, community event will feature STEAM activities, food trucks, local vendors and hands-on challenges designed for families of all ages. Planned activities include pie catapults, engineering challenges and interactive booths hosted by community partners.
The day’s signature moment is scheduled for exactly 3:14 p.m., when La Nube will host the Biggest “Pi” Fight, a Pi Day-themed pie fight expected to include “plenty of whipped cream.” The Pi fight is sponsored by Exigo.
At La Nube, we believe some of the best moments of learning happen when families are laughing and exploring together,” said Mick Martinez, La Nube’s chief strategy officer. “La Nube’s Spring Bash Block Party is a chance for families across our community to come together, enjoy playful discovery, and create memories that last long after the day ends.
Inside the STEAM Discovery Center, La Nube will also host Puppy Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., sponsored by Pet’s Barn. La Nube said Puppy Fest will include puppy yoga, a “Pupcinto Plaza with interactive puppy experiences,” community partners sharing pet resources, an immersive Dog POV experience and on-site dog adoptions. Admission to La Nube is required for Puppy Fest.
Together, the events are expected to create a full day of family entertainment and discovery in downtown El Paso.
“We’re excited to welcome families downtown for a day filled with creativity, discovery, and a little bit of messy fun,” said Alysha Swann, vice president of community transformation. “Spring Bash is the perfect way to kick off Spring Break and experience La Nube together.”
