HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A woman was killed in a wrong-way crash overnight on Highway 6, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to HCSO Deputy Gosney, the woman was driving northbound in the southbound lanes in the 4100 block of Highway 6 North near Clay Road at about 11 p.m. on Sunday. Authorities said she then hit one car, causing debris that then hit two other vehicles.

Officials said the wrong-way driver was killed in the incident, with two other drivers being taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, it is unknown if speed or intoxication was a factor in the crash. Officials did not immediately release information on the drivers’ identities.

HCSO said that the incident is still under investigation.
