It’s the biggest Broadway in Austin season ever, with seven local premieres and the returns of several fan favorites.

AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Performing Arts has announced its next Broadway in Austin season – and it’s the biggest ever!

Eleven Broadway shows are headed to Bass Concert Hall from September 2026 to June 2027, including several Austin premieres and the returns of some fan favorites.

The season will kick off with a run of “Mrs. Doubtfire” from Sept. 22-27, followed by six other local premieres: “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” from Nov. 3-9, “Buena Vista Social Club” from Dec. 1-6, “Alicia Keys’ Hell’s Kitchen” from Feb. 23-March 3, “Water for Elephants” from April 6-11, “Death Becomes Her” from April 27-May 2, and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” from May 19-30.

In addition to those shows, several others will return to Bass Concert Hall for the 2026-27 season, including “Waitress” from Oct. 21-23, “The Phantom of the Opera” from Jan. 20-31, “Beetlejuice” from March 19-21, and “The Book of Mormon” from June 8-13.


How does buying season subscriptions work?

If you’re already a subscriber from 2025-2026, you will automatically be renewed for an 8-show package on March 19. Subscribers will retain their same seats for all seven premiere shows, plus “The Phantom of the Opera,” with priority access to add “Waitress,” “Beetlejuice” and “The Book of Mormon.” Existing subscribers can log into their account now to view their invoice prior to the renewal. 

If you’re not an existing subscriber, Broadway in Austin 7- and 8-show subscription packages are on sale now. New subscribers can add “The Phantom of the Opera” as an eighth show to complete their package, with “Waitress,” “Beetlejuice” and “The Book of Mormon” available as season options. 

Prices start at $290 for a 7-show package and $330 for an 8-show package.
