Enjoy Spring Break at the Houston Museum of Natural Science

  • March 10, 2026

HOUSTON – Spring Break is the perfect time to explore something new, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science has a full lineup of events and experiences for curious minds of all ages.

Throughout March, visitors can travel from Earth to outer space with hands-on activities and unique exhibits. One highlight is the ATACAMA photography exhibition, which takes guests high above Chile’s Atacama Desert through stunning aerial images that explore the balance between renewable energy, mining, and the environment.

Looking for something interactive? The museum’s new Sleuths & Secrets experience turns the museum into an escape-room-style adventure where participants work together to solve puzzles and uncover hidden clues.

There’s also plenty of fun for math lovers during Pi Day on March 14 at HMNS at Sugar Land, featuring family-friendly activities celebrating the famous number 3.14 — and yes, there will be pie to eat.

And for those interested in forensic science, the museum is offering a CSI: Blood Spatter class on March 25, where participants can learn how investigators analyze crime scene evidence through hands-on experiments.

From environmental art and escape-room adventures to space exploration and forensic science, HMNS offers something for everyone this Spring Break.

For the full schedule of events and exhibitions, visit hmns.org or call (713) 639-4629.
