An Italian restaurant nestled along a tree-lined street in Uptown has closed.
San Marzano opened in September 2024 with a menu of pastas made in-house and prices intended to be easy on the wallet.
“This is meant to be the kind of restaurant where you leave happy and comfortable and don’t feel like you got punched in the face from prices,” co-owner Dave Malekan told The Dallas Morning News when the restaurant opened.
Since then, San Marzano’s prices increased by about $3 for many menu items. Restaurants across the country have been raising their prices due to rising food and rent costs.
