EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The water utility serving the City of Socorro, Clint, San Elizario, and surrounding areas said it is cleaning wastewater lines clogged with wipes.

According to the Lower Valley Water District, crews are cleaning wastewater lines on Camino De la Rosa Road from North Loop to Thompson Road in San Elizario.

LVWD said the process could take up several days as lines are stuck with wipes, which they say are not biodegradable.

KFOX14/CBS4 spoke with Lance Lopez, who was there helping out his parents, who live in Clint, and said they have been having sewer issues since Thursday.
