Filming on the latest “Yellowstone” spinoff has wrapped in North Texas.

The Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler-led “Dutton Ranch” began filming in August 2025 in Ferris, Texas. Over the past few months, the Paramount+ series filmed across several other local cities.

Filming wrapped on the show’s first season last week, according to a social media post from Texas-based Legacy Casting. The company casts background actors for the show and many other Sheridan-produced programs.

In an Instagram story over the weekend, Legacy confirmed that filming is over and shared a snap from the wrap party.

In addition to Ferris, filming took place in Boyd, Cleburne, Weatherford, Rio Vista, Fort Worth and Mineral Wells.

Filming crews were seen at Fort Worth’s E.M. Daggett Middle School, which was transformed into “Rio Paloma High School.” If the “Rio Paloma” name sounds familiar, it was the working title for the show before it officially changed to “Dutton Ranch.”

It’s unclear how Beth and Rip make their way to Rio Paloma, which is not a real place and translates to “Pigeon River.” However, there is an official synopsis for the show:

“Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler fight to survive on their cherished 7,000-acre ranch amid tough times and stiff competition, while ensuring young Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”

🔥 In case you missed it…

Only a few seconds of footage have been released for “Dutton Ranch.”

In January, Paramount+ released a “This Year on Paramount” video about its slate of releases in 2026. Beth and Rip are seen riding separately on horseback across a wide open landscape in a quick shot. Both characters are smiling and wearing cowboy hats and Western garb.

More “Dutton Ranch” teases may be on the way soon, after Paramount+ recently rebranded its social media accounts tied to “1883” and “1923” to the new show. The first post under the new facelift was of a door with the “Dutton Ranch” logo on it.

“New brand,” the account posted on Monday, March 9.

No release date has been set for the series.
