LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock County grand jury has indicted a 49-year-old man accused of kidnapping, sexually assaulting and beating a woman over the course of several days.
Robert Arnold now faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping resulting in sexual abuse, and assault.
According to court documents, the woman told investigators Arnold had been tracking her using a GPS device hidden in her car. She said Arnold kidnapped her from a convenience store in central Lubbock.
The woman told investigators she was able to convince Arnold to release her after three days.
Three charges Arnold had been facing were rejected by the Lubbock County District Attorney’s office prior to indictment.
Arnold remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $475,000 bond.
