AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are searching for a suspect in a early-morning shooting at a downtown club that injured one man, just hours after an unrelated mass shooting that left three people dead and 19 others wounded.
The aggravated assault occurred at 3:36 a.m. Sunday, March 1, at Club 420, located at 501 Neches Street.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. His injuries were non-life-threatening, according to police.

Investigators say a fight broke out inside the club before an unidentified individual produced a firearm and fired at least one shot, striking the victim. No arrest has been made and no suspect has been identified.
APD detectives believe additional witnesses to the Club 420 shooting have yet to come forward and are urging anyone with photos, videos or other evidence to contact the Aggravated Assault Unit at 512-974-4429. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
