EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 36-year-old man was arrested after he had allegedly escaped from authorities during a traffic stop two weeks ago in Far East El Paso.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Victor Corral was found and arrested on Thursday at the 12500 block of Montana Avenue, as he was trying to recover a silver Mazda SUV, which authorities had impounded and collected as evidence for an investigation.

As it turns out, the Sheriff’s Office stated that on Oct. 6, the same Mazda SUV sped away from deputies after they tried to pull the vehicle over, near Peyton Hills Road and Eastlake Boulevard.
