HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — March is Women’s History Month, but it’s also when Dress For Success Houston kicks off its annual professional attire and giving campaign, “Her Path Forward.”

While “Her Path Forward” officially started March 1, it continues all year long with professional attire drives, just one of the many ways the community can support the non-profit’s goal of serving more than 3,150 women this year.

The campaign, DFSH says, is inspired by the belief that when women have access to education and job resources, their contributions in turn benefit all of us, from strengthening communities to growing businesses and economies.

In addition to hosting a professional attire drive, ways to support include:

– Purchasing an item from the Her Path Forward Amazon wish list
– Purchasing an item from the Scrubs Wish List
Donating directly to the campaign

In 2025, Her Path Forward raised over $177,000 to support DFSH, the group said, adding that more than 23,000 items were donated during drives.

A cornerstone of the campaign is the Models of Success event – where clients in Dress for Success programs are celebrated and share their personal stories after walking – or rocking – the runway at DFSH headquarters.

ABC13’s Charly Edsitty emceed the 2025 and 2026 shows.

ABC13 has also been a longstanding partner of DFSH in support of its mission.

Along with suiting women, Dress for Success offers programs to support female veterans, provide financial literacy, and job search assistance.
