LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock County grand jury this week formally indicted a 29-year-old man on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a minor.
According to court documents obtained by KCBD, the abuse was first reported Jan. 30.
The underage victim, whose name has not been released, accused Christian Alvarez of forcing her to engage in sexual acts repeatedly while under the influence of drugs. According to the affidavit, she also told officers Alvarez threatened to harm her in other ways.
Lubbock police secured a warrant for Alvarez’s arrest last month. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony.
Alvarez remains in the Lubbock County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
