The Austin Police Department is looking for more information related to an aggravated assault that occurred in Downtown Austin in the early morning hours of March 1.

The department put out the call for help in a Wednesday press release. The bulletin reveals that officers responded to Club 420 at 501 Neches Street at approximately 3:36 a.m. after a report of a shooting.

“When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male victim with a gunshot wound,” the release states. “Officers rendered aid until Austin-Travis County Emergency Services (ATCEMS) arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Preliminary evidence suggests a fight broke out inside the club and, during the altercation, an unknown individual produced a firearm and fired at least one shot, striking the victim.

Police don’t currently have a suspect in this case and no arrest has been made in relation to this incident. Detectives believe there may be more witnesses to the incident, and are asking anyone with photos, videos, or other potential evidence to share them with APD.
