Plano has a new store focused on Asian flavors — but this one’s not your typical grocer.
SaveGo Wholesale has opened to the public with a warehouse-style layout and features some bulk items, according to Jacky Chan, founder and CEO.
The store, which covers about 30,000 square feet, focuses on Asian and restaurant-oriented products. That includes rice, sauces, snacks, fresh produce and meat.
Customers will find live crawfish, oysters, blue crab, shrimp and frozen fish fillets. There’s also napa cabbage, bok choy, gai lan (Chinese broccoli) and ginger.
D-FW Retail News
“Asian-focused warehouse-style stores exist in some major markets, but they are still limited in the D-FW area,” Chan said in an email. “With the rapid growth of Asian communities, restaurants, and food businesses in North Texas, we saw a strong demand for a one-stop wholesale-style store that serves both restaurants and everyday shoppers.”
Grocery stores catering to different Asian tastes are expanding around North Texas to serve the growing population. That includes a new H Mart in Dallas and several new Indian-focused retailers in other parts of the region.

“Our goal is to bridge the gap between traditional retail Asian markets and restaurant supply warehouses,” Chan said.
Bulk items at the SaveGo Wholesale include rice, cooking oils and condiments. Restaurant supplies and packaging materials are available as well.
